To play Entre os Feixes, you just have to grab some bottle caps, print two sheets to cut out, and the rules.
The story of this game takes place thousands of years ago, in the city of Bethlehem of Judea, when poor people collected, among the plantations, ears of wheat and barley that fell to the ground, to satisfy their own hunger. Ruth, the protagonist of the story, is one of these people, a young and foreign widow looking for ways to support her mother-in-law, picking ears in a plantation in the region, because according to Jewish law on behalf the hungry, it was justice for the owners of land to leave the ears that fell to the ground for people in need to collect for themselves. The game is based on chapter 2 from the book of Ruth of the Bible, telling the story of this notorious young foreigner who, because of her faithfulness and dedication, marries the owner of the plantation and joins the genealogical line of Jesus Christ.
A game that, through its mechanics, can be used to address issues such as: social equality, self-preservation, respect for women, the value of loyalty, work, and the correct authority that cares and leads people in a loving way.
In summary, each player plays with 3 pieces that move like queens, but instead of capturing the opponent's pieces, they capture the squares of the board, collecting them to sum points at the end of the game.
